Why I Chose to Blog About Law School

I earned a degree in journalism while in undergrad, so, naturally, I love to write. I expected to go into public relations or to write for a newspaper, but I decided on law school instead. But, I've still found a way to get my journalistic and creative writing habits into my life.

Law school is a lot to take on by itself, and yet I'm adding on running a blog on top of that. So, why do it?

Like I mentioned above, I love to write. It's something that relaxes me and lets me get anything and everything off of my mind, so I know it'll be helpful to step away from my homework over the next three years to enjoy writing for this blog.

Of course, there will still be plenty of writing for law school on its own, but there's something about not having to write academically that I adore. Even if it's just a quick blurb in my journal, a break is always welcome from schoolwork.

In addition, other law school blogs helped me feel ready for the LSAT, and now for starting law school. After deciding to go to law school, I spent a good chunk of my time researching the best ways to study for the LSAT and looking into how to make my applications stand out on Pinterest. All of the information I found on there came from a bunch of amazing law bloggers, and I want to help others in the same way those blogs helped me.

I already know law school is going to be an exciting time for me. It's going to be stressful, and I may even want to quit sometimes, but it'll be worth it in the end. It'll be fun to look back at this blog someday and see what my thoughts were while studying for the LSAT or getting ready for my first day of law school.

I'm pumped to see where I'll end up, and I'm glad you're along for the ride!

xoxo,

Rachel
