Looking Towards July
Happy July!
In a similar fashion to last month's post, I'm getting closer and closer to starting law school and I'm chomping at the bit to get started. I'm so overly excited and I keep anxiously checking the countdown app on my phone each and every day to see how long I have until I'm in Denver.
I'm currently working on moving my entire life, but I'm still trying to make time for having fun and spending time with friends and family. I'm trying to keep my goals this month a bit easier for me to accomplish due to my wanting to enjoy my last month at home.
Monthly Goals
Here's a quick recap of my goals from last month:
- Find an apartment and sign a lease (check!)
- 700 Instagram followers (check!)
- 300 Pinterest followers (check!)
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day (check!)
- Better self care habits (check!)
- 30 email followers
- 750 Instagram followers
- Create a better sleep schedule (wake up by 8 each morning and go to sleep between 10-11 each night)
- Remake my Instagram posting schedule
- Workout 4 days each week
Monthly Favorites
I'm trying to step up my Instagram game right now, and Lightroom is certainly helping on the editing end of that goal. I love how even with the free version there are so many ways to control how your photos turn out. I'd definitely recommend this app to anybody who wants to have as much control over your social media feeds as possible.
I've had this palette for a while now, but I kind of let it fall to the back of my mind after I got some new palettes as gifts this past Christmas. Lately, however, I've been falling back into using it because I'm still oh so obsessed with the beautiful colors in this palette. Whether I'm trying to create a casual look for work or something elaborate for a night out, I know this is my go-to palette.
Black Skirtall from Dry Goods
I knew as soon as I saw this in the store, I had to have it. One of my favorite things to do when shopping is to buy clothing that I can dress up or dress down, as well as clothing items in neutrals so I can pair them with pretty much anything. I've loved wearing this to work lately, and I always get compliments on it.
Vintage Tommy Hilfiger Jeans
I love being the same size as my mom. While I've been living at home, she's been giving me things that she doesn't want or doesn't wear anymore, and it's been awesome. One of those pieces of clothing is this super comfy pair of jeans that she's had forever. When I asked her how long she's had them, she told me that she's probably had them since the late 1990's or early 2000's. They're definitely one of those pairs of jeans that I can wear all day when I'm running errands or sitting around studying.
xoxo,
Rachel
