Happy December!
I hope your November was great and that your December is kicking off well, too. Since it's the beginning of a new month, it's time to see how my goals for last month turned out and set some new goals for the coming month.
Here's a recap of my November goals:
Happy December!
I hope your November was great and that your December is kicking off well, too. Since it's the beginning of a new month, it's time to see how my goals for last month turned out and set some new goals for the coming month.
Here's a recap of my November goals:
- Get at least a 160 on the LSAT (I won't find out until--hopefully--December 8, but I felt SO confident walking out of my testing center)
- Finish my personal statement (check!)
- Journal and do my yoga practice more often (definitely did not do--repeating this goal for December)
- Reach 100 followers on Instagram (check!)
December Goals
Life has slowed down for me a lot since my LSAT date passed, and that will continue into December, thank goodness. The biggest thing for me, besides the holidays, is the predicted release date of my LSAT score. I'm trying not to think about it too much because I already took the test and it's out of my hands at this point, so there's no point in worrying about it too much. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news come this Saturday (or whenever the scores are actually released).
I'm working as per usual, and I've been lucky with my paychecks and tips there, so I'm feeling good about that. Since I just started there in September, I'm finally feeling like I'm really fitting in with everybody else, and that's putting me in a good mood, too.
Here are my goals for December:
- Journal and do my yoga practice more often
- Reach 200 followers on Instagram
- Reach 100 followers on Twitter
- Be more social with coworkers
- Get at least a 160 on the LSAT
Make sure to check back next month to see how I did with my goals!

"My Little Book of Big Ideas" Journal
I have a confession to make: I'm addicted to buying journals. I love to write, and it's a cathartic experience to just word vomit onto a page about my anxiety. However, in this journal, I have been writing down lists and notes for blog posts, guest posts, and collaborations, and it's super nice to have everything in one place.
Court Junkie Podcast
I recently got caught up to speed with the podcast "And That's Why We Drink," so I didn't have a podcast to binge in my free time. Fortunately for me, I stumbled onto the "Court Junkie Podcast," which focuses on the injustices that can occur within the United States justice system, such as being wrongfully convicted or having a killer be on the loose despite evidence against them. I'm only a few episodes in, but I already know that I'm going to be listening to this nonstop now.
High-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans from Forever 21
I happened across these jeans while out shopping with my sister, and I knew I just HAD to get them. They're crazy flattering, and I also feel like I'm back in the 1970's, which is where I get a lot of my fashion inspiration. These can be dressed up or dressed down, making them super versatile for all my needs.
Curology
My skin has recently been my worst enemy. I'm not sure if it was the stress from studying for the LSAT or my super oily skin, but it needed to disappear. I'd heard about Curology before, so I decided that I'd give it a try, and it's definitely making an improvement already. Although all my acne is not gone yet, it typically takes about 6 weeks for results to really start to take shape. I'll definitely keep you all updated on how it works out!
Briteplex Mermaid Masque
For most of my undergraduate years, I dyed my hair red, and, now that I'm attempting to be an adult who's taken seriously, I dyed my hair back to brown so that my roots wouldn't be super noticeable once they started growing out. However, due to the fact that I dyed my hair for so many years, I need to take extra special care of it. Usually I stick with coconut oil (although I definitely haven't stopped using it because it's an all-time fave of mine!), but I recently added in this hair mask to provide a little boost each week. I LOVE how it makes my hair feel, and I'm already seeing results and healthier hair.
What are you looking forward to in December?
xoxo,
Rachel
